Studio Fujino Exhibition 2024

Gallery tete will hold exhibition "Perspectives from studio fujino" starting Saturday, October 4th. Until now, we have mainly introduced wooden plates by Hitoshi Fujisaki of studio fujino, a creative studio based in Japan. However, in this exhibition, we will showcase for the first time in Hong Kong the small furniture pieces such as stools and jewelry boxes, as well as art pieces. Additionally, we will display booklets summarizing the stories behind the materials used. Their craftsmanship approaches design from a broad perspective, not confined to a single style, and we present these works as “The Perspective of studio fujino.”

studio fujino is a creative studio led by woodworker and furniture craftsman Hitoshi Fujisaki and graphic designer and gallerist Yuko Higashikawa. After working together in Italy, they returned to Japan in 2007. They relocated to the foot of Mount Jinba in Fujino, Kanagawa Prefecture, where they continue their creative activities.
Living in a nature-rich environment surrounded by mountains, they discover unique perspectives on lifestyle, food, and creative expression. While running a gallery and café, they create a welcoming space that captivates visitors from both Japan and abroad.
