Collection: Rimpei Watanabe

Born in Okayama, Japan, 1974.
He built a kiln in a mountain settlement in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture, for creating his works. These works possess a unique beauty with the technique of “Kohiki” which involves powdered clay to create delicate patterns and color variations on the surface. They also exhibit wild touch and detailed craftsmanship, as well as the appealing texture of “Hakeme”. The ambience of the objects gives a sense of the creator’s personality.
