This is a piece by Tatsuma Segawa, a ceramic artist based in Tokyo. These works are created using a unique technique called “sulfide silver decoration,” developed through the artist’s extensive research. While they feature a distinctive, metallic-like texture, they still retain the warmth characteristic of ceramics when held in the hand. Over time, they will develop an even richer and more expressive character as they age.
