In recent years, Tatsuma Segawa has dedicated himself to creating a collection of white porcelain. Its true uniqueness reveals itself only upon closer inspection—a delicate, fine-veined texture running through each piece.
Layers of varying whites intertwine deep within the ceramic, creating a profound depth that defines his new vision of white porcelain. Depending on the cuisine it holds, a piece can gracefully step forward as the radiant protagonist or recede into the role of an understated accompaniment.

Born in 1988. After graduating from university, studied ceramics in Gifu Prefecture. Currently based in Tokyo’s historic Shitamachi district.

Working with distinctive techniques such as carbonized white glaze and silver sulfide decoration, the artist creates ceramic works rich in texture and expression.
